I wanted to learn more about data. How can data be stored? How do I get data from A to B? And how do I present data in a Dashboard? But where do you start when you have humanities complete knowledge at your fingertip?
I felt overwhelmed, and still do. And it is totally okay. We all need time to adjust and sort things out.
I started with the basics of the fundamental languages used for data jobs - SQL and Python. Expert interviews helped me to understand where I stand, where I want to go and how the road ahead is looking.
At the moment I am doing data engineering and some analytics courses to connect the dots and get the storyline right. To stay hands-on and project driven I opted for flexible solutions. DataTalksClub is offering a Data Engineering Zoomcamp which sounds very promising as well.
My future goal is to fill this blog with project presentations and be able to use it as a portfolio.
